Sacraments
The Parish Confirmation will be held on 3rd of April (at 1pm for us).
Sciath na Scol
We have our first Sciath match scheduled for next week on Thursday v Ringaskiddy at 12.30pm on the school pitch.
School Lunches
Please see below from our Healthy Eating Policy. Thanks for your cooperation.
Normal lunch
- The following foods do not support a healthy lunch policy and should be excluded from your child’s lunch box; crisps, chewing gum, sweets, bars including cereal bars, cakes, biscuits, lollipops, chocolate, chocolate spread, winders, pretzels, chocolate yogurts and deserts, rice pudding,
Wednesday Lunch (treat day) - A small treat is allowed on Wednesdays. This should only be a small item such as a mini chocolate bar, a small pack of sweets, a small slice of cake, a mini muffin etc. Large bags of sweets for sharing are not allowed except for special party occasions.
- Children are not allowed to bring chewing gum or crisps to school.
Headlice
We have had a report of head lice in the school, please be vigilant and treat as soon as you spot anything. Also please let school know should you find head lice.
Parents’ Association Meeting
The next meeting of the Parents’ Association will take place on tonight at 8pm in the school. There is a separate note from the Parents’ Association Committee attached.
Card Drive
Many thanks to Rita O’Regan and Vicarstown Card Drive for their generous donation of €300. This money will be put towards the purchase of new sports jerseys. We are currently running a competition for the best designed jersey, the design will be used as a basis for our new jersey. The Card Drive is on every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in the school. They are always looking for new players. Everybody is welcome and training is provided.
Local News
The Official Opening of Ballyanly playground will be held on Saturday the 22nd September from 2 to 5pm. It will be a free afternoon of fun and games for all. The fundraising committee is hugely grateful for all the support and help we received during this project. We would love to see you there!
